West Oregon Electric Co-Op

A truly green building, with a conventional frame constructed with wood trusses and all cedar siding with faux stone and split-faced masonry accents. Timber and cedar siding was milled by Five Star Builders from local dead fall trees. The facility was designed to serve as an emergency shelter/essential care facility in case of local disaster. The building incorporates the most stringent seismic building criteria and was value-engineered to reduce initial budgetary costs of the project by more than 20% while still meeting all of the needs of the client.
